WELCOME

The Institute for the Law of Digitalisation, newly founded in 2018, bundles and strengthens the expertise of the Faculty of Law at the Philipps-Universität Marburg in a cross-sectional legal area resulting from the effects of the digitalisation process on existing legal systems.

Research activities currently focus on commercial, corporate, banking and capital market law at the German, European and international level, as well as on data protection and communications law. The Institute is committed to intensive cooperation with legal practice and a truly interdisciplinary approach.

RESEARCH

Digitalisation has long gone beyond cashless payments and the use of apps. It is therefore not surprising that digitalisation has become not only a far-reaching political issue, but also an unprecedented legal one.

SUPPORT ORGANISATION

h1-trenner.png

The "Association for the Development of the Institute for the Law of Digitisation at the Philipps-Universität Marburg e.V." supports research and teaching at the Institute for the Law of Digitisation. Special attention is paid to the intensive exchange between science and practice. In order to ensure that this cooperation is firmly anchored in the association from the outset, a scientific advisory board has been set up, whose members are legal theoreticians and practitioners.
