About the event
The AI Act is the EU's first attempt to comprehensively regulate artificial intelligence. However, the cross-cutting concept of the AI Act raises the question of how it interacts with other standards and what the effects will be in specific areas of application of AI. Against this background, the project group Normordnung Künstliche Intelligenz (NoKI) - Bestand, System, Durchsetzung of the Centre for Responsible Digitalisation (ZEVEDI) organised a workshop on the topic of "AI Act in the Data Space". The workshop focused on the interaction between the AI Act and the provisions of data management law, especially with regard to corporate or financial data. In the first part, speakers involved in standardisation gave an insight into the current status of legislative considerations, before the second part analysed and discussed the application dimension of the AI Act with regard to data resources. The event was kindly supported by the Representation of the State of Hesse to the European Union.
